(no subject)
We've just had a snow storm, it started yesterday afternoon and continued until this afternoon. We got 30-50 cm of snow overnight which meant that the city traffic was HORRIBLE - it took me two hours to get to school when normally it takes 20 minutes by bus. Loads of city busses had driven off the road, some were stuck in snow and all of them were late. I waited 45 minutes in the morning to even see a bus when there's supposed to be seven in an hour from our bus stop. When I got to school, my shoes and socks were soaked - luckily we were going to go to hiphop practise and I had socks & trainers that I could change into.
I just got back home, after a Very Scary bus ride to our suburb centre and a panicked phone call to Antti to walk me home. It's cold and windy but there's no snow in the air anymore. Most sidewalks still have that 30-50 cm of snow and the traffic is terrible. I don't like driving much (especially in bad weather, I love driving when it's dry and sunny) and I'm definitely a little scared of busses, always have been, and tonight I was so ready to get off any bus stop really because I was so terrified of the driver going so fast on such a terrible icy road. Very NOT looking forward to tomorrow morning when I absolutely have to go to school again :/
Good thing I did some grocery shopping and bought pizza + stuff to make Christmassy plum pastries :) I think we'll curl under a blanket and watch tv or a movie now that we're both safe at home.
