Sketches and TPBs

Apr 22, 2009 09:42

Went to a comics convention this past weekend, and got me some Rogues sketches (and for those who saw most of them over at my journal the other day, the Piper one is up now).

Yay, here!

In random news, the recent DC solicitations for July listed this trade:

SHOWCASE PRESENTS: THE FLASH VOL. 3 TPWritten by John Broome, Gardner Fox and Robert ( Read more... )

con sketches, solicits

Actually, that used to be fairly common for playing with tops. I say "used to", because tops aren't that common these days ^_^ I think it gives a faster or longer spin.

This site would make Roscoe weep with joy.

If Top ever gets a successor (like Axel) or a sidekick (and wouldn´t that be an awesome idea) that would need to be his/her shtick^^

I (vaguely) know what Beyblade is, but doubt too many people think of them as tops. Hell, it's pretty clear DC thinks tops are horribly outdated, given that Johns has had him stop using them in modern times, and in Waid's presidential storyline Wally made a crack about how no one plays with tops anymore.

Even in Roscoe's first appearance (1961), he comments that tops were much more popular before he was born.

Oooh, I'd be mad if he was replaced by someone! O_O
