Side note: Heat Wave narrates! Since Sturges took over with #3, he's had a Rogue doing narration for each issue:

3: Weather Wizard
4: Kadabra
5: Mirror Master
6: Heat Wave

which leaves Captain Cold to narrate #7, is my surmise.

So why was Heat Wave freaking out thinking they'd killed Martian Manhunter last issue, and now he's all gleeful about possibly doing it?

Because now it can be pinned on Luthor? It looks like the criteria fit a certain rule of the game: 1) Thou shalt not shoot to kill unless 1a) your prisoner is escaping.

Eh, I still don't buy it, and the Rogues should know better, but I'm too tired to think about it.
