Beautiful & tragic. I really felt Pete in this... his happiness and his sort of naivety. Also, Joe was adorably Joe, and it was such a sweet addition to the piece.
I don't know if I just haven't been up to date or if this is the first piece you've posted in a while. Either way, it's nice to have you back. ♥
Yeah, first bit in a while. Month or so, I think, I'm not sure. I'm in my senior year of high school, a month before graduation so it's sorta insanely stressful. I have a million half-finished things and last night figured I should try and complete a few. This is the second I've done, the other one is sorta epic and needed a beta, so off it went.^^
And hey, thank you. Nice to be welcomed back!
(PS. I just read your Pete/Ryan on we_are_cities and, guh, wow. Will leave a better comment on the actual thing soon.)
I rarely read purely FOB-based fics, but your name beside 'author' and Ashlee Simpson in the summary drew me in.
As per usual, my dear, your writing is nothing short of gorgeous. But what really makes this - as per usual - is how unflinchingly well you characterize each person and invite the reader to look so intimately inside their heads, their hearts. It's nothing short of amazing.
I have no love for Pete Wentz and a strong distaste for Ashlee Simpson, but when you write them like this I can't top my heart from aching for them.
