90210
one of the things i really like about this show is that they know how to balance an ensemble cast. bitch all you want, but if they have an episode all about one character, then s/he'll be less of a focus in the next one. they just share their screentime around and it's really awesome. they didn't do it so much in s1, but they've really learnt how. unlike, say, 'glee' - which i do love, but their lack of balance is starting to drive me insane. this ep saw adrianna take a much needed backseat (i love her! but i needed a break from her antics) and even a little break from naomi, and it was like, a death by parents episode. liam's and teddy's dads are back and are varying degrees of douchebag, annie's parents are two steps away from separation city (stealth movie reference! it's how i roll) and jen's back! so drama-rama basically. it'll be interesting seeing how these storylines pan out. tbh, i think it can potentially lead to too much parent drama, but this show has been doing pretty well in the balance department lately, so fingers crossed it'll work out.

oh, and fyi, i still can't get behind liam/annie. as friends, sure! they're cute as friends! and i'm actually a little surprised that i'm starting to like annie. i like her and naomi being friends again, and i know it's destined to fuck up, but i hope it doesn't for a while at least.

COMMUNITY
i honestly love this show. i mean, more so than i ever even thought that i would. more than that though, i love every character. they're all funny and sweet and different and seriously. so much love. shirley is such a bad ass.

also, my love for jeff/britta continues to grow, almost to fic writing proportions, and i enjoy that the show is embracing abed/troy for the otp that they clearly are.

GLEE
the break from rachel was really, really welcome tbh. don't get me wrong, i love her, but having her the focus of every single episode makes her tiresome. i actually kind of put her in the same category as annie from community, where too much is like a bus to the head, but the right balance is just awesome. community's gotten it right with annie. i love that crazy bitch, and i love that she has the perfect amount of screen time to make me look forward to her scenes. rachel has actually surpassed bus to the head and is now like, a parade line of them.

so yeah, the break from her was nice. this episode was actually awesome. it reminded me of why i watch it, which is becomming inreasingly for the support cast in mercedes, kurt, tina and artie. they had so much potential, and the cast has thrown them aside to focus more on the cheerios which, okay, i love brittany and santana and quinn, but this show was always meant to be about the underdog, not rachel, the jocks and cheerleaders. but whatever. that's for a different rant. kurt was perfection in this episode, as was mercedes. her performance of 'beautiful' was wonderful and her and quinn's interaction this episode made me love them both all the more.

the one issue i had with the ep was kristen chenowith. i mean, she's fabulous, i just don't get why the show felt the need to bring her back? then again though, this show doesn't exactly deal in moderation.

GOSSIP GIRL
they're picking up again, which sucks, because it probably means i'll be tuning in for disappointment. sigh. although the lack of jenny will definitely be a++ in my book.

nate/serena were good in this episode! i'm glad jenny's as the evil cow was exposed, and i very much like what blair said to chuck about her acknowledging that they were awesome, but he fucked up and one day, she'd be able to move on. (i'm back to loving her tbh) dan and vanessa were petty and disappointing, both in the entirety of their relationship and this ep. i had higher hopes, but oh well.

and serena's dad is the biggest douche of all. so is he poisoning lily? i was a little wtf? but who knows. i just can't wait for rufus to lose his shit over it.

HOUSE
i love being able to rely on a show to be awesome. house is totally one of those shows. i loved the drama between wilson and his ex and i love that they're gonna give it a shot. i also love how devo house was about it lol. his emo face is best of all emo faces on this show.

and taub! nooooooo. i was so upset by the end of the episode. i love him! and i love his wife! PLEASE DON'T ROOT THAT WOMAN. it makes me so sad. ;___________; i totally shed a tear when his wife showed up at the hospital though. it made me so sad.

also, cougar town and modern family were awesome. not a lot to say otherwise.

+ i don't know how many people are involved in australia's next top model fandom, but cassi's new catalog shoot just makes me kind of sad. i wish she wasn't such a crazy, trailer trash bogan, and i wish she had more than one facial expression, because her look could be the thing of epic. sigh.
