- i saw 'how to train your dragon' today. i am not entirely sure if it is because of my excessive love of dragons, but that movie may have been one of the greatest things ever. it was so much fun! and so much preciousness and awesome and toothless was exactly like my cat! like, in his mannerisms and everything and omg. love it.
- i've also finished catching up with 'criminal minds' which is pretty epic. i'm really, really enjoying it, and whilst i wasn't sure about rossi right away, i kind of love him now. plus jj! and reid! and morgan and garcia! and everyone. omg, it's fabulous. i'm excited for the next ep too. i have such an epic love for forest whitaker.
- 90210 is still ridiculous amounts of fun, although i don't like the way the show seems to be intent on screwing naomi over all the time when it is clear that she's a fan fave. also, her and liam are destined to be over apparently, but that kind of breaks my heart. i love them so much. also, STOP ANNIE, i was starting to like you, but you coming between naomi+liam does not please me. i prefer you being all pissed off and in a creepy relationship with creepy jasper. plus, i'm starting to enjoy the teddy/silver and gia/adrianna storylines, much to my surprise. also, whilst naomi is lying about that teacher, said teacher still comes off, to me at least as 1) seedy and 2) a massive douche. not a fan.
- i'm still not a hundred percent happy with the directions gossip girl goes in. i mean, they have sketchy gender issues at the best of time, but chuck pimping out his girlfriend to his uncle really crossed a line. i mean, seriously, gg writers? you want to go there? also, jenny being a massive hobag is becoming too much for me to take, i can't stand her character and eric continues to be the best part of the show. the fic's still good though lol.
also, hey! fic recs! although that segue was terrible given that there are no gg fic recs here.

that money, patti sings by
fated_addiction. r. mick jagger/keith richards. 163 words.
This is the part where Mick kisses him with teeth, tearing his lip with laughter, that husky rip of sound and Keith is back to craving cocks and chords and all things that just fucking make him ache.
&
love this. really. it's short, but the intensity of emotion of it is seriously just beautiful.

the early start by
fated_addiction. pg. mick jagger, keith richards, brian jones. 684 words.
Anita, Anita, Anita.
Brian is a ghost by then, spitting and singing, dancing and falling with the drugs for extraordinary lovers.
“I can’t compete,” she starts to breathe, to Keith, over champagne and cigarette buts. She lines herself with art and fur, the motion of her hands slighting nearly for the romance of hell in rooms.
Keith isn’t worried about dying, his veins opening to the sky: all new, he tells his mates, all fucking new.
But he’ll take her too.

this is perfection. moments, snippits in the lives of jagger, richards and jones before, during and after the stones. perfection.

collaboration by
pollinia. pg-13. dino/bianchi. 1,253 words.
At the end of the first day, they meet in the kitchen after training and he pours her a drink. They sit across from each other. They sip and they say, these times, these times, what crazy times and Bianchi feels so old.
She knows it's a matter of perspective. The perspective from her point of view is one shrouded in long hair and loves lost. It is the perspective of a woman who has spent every last cent of her patience and her generosity and now she has empty pockets and a mess of a family that no one wants to clean up.
Dino takes her glass from her and puts it in the sink. They have been talking for three hours. They have said almost nothing.
&
this is really beautiful. dino and bianchi aren't really a pairing i'd considered in khr, but i found myself really enjoying this taste of what the tyl!arc was like for two of the supporting characters. i've always liked both of them separately, and their relationship is dealt with here in a way that is gentle, flawed and totally believable. it's wonderful.

in god's country by
nonartisan. r. hibari/mukuro-implied, but mostly gen. 2,999 words.
"It's about time he got out."
Tsuna says quietly, observing that his other guardians are also holding on to his every word.
"Years of solitary confinement is enough, this power shift in Vindice is clearly a sign."
Gokudera gives voice to a small protest and he talks about violation and punishment. Yamamoto counters him with a line that echoes compassion. It's not at all surprising when another protest erupts from Sasagawa. Tsuna does not pacify any of them, rather he insists upon his decision.
They have enough technology to provide another holding tank for Mukuro.
Free but not really free.
No one speaks after Tsuna says this, no one, except Chrome. Her voice is light and her frame still small and though her diction is as limited as her abilities, she is sincere enough to silence everyone.
"At...at least, he'll be home."
&
this is really, really interesting. set in the future, but not quite tyl! tsuna decides it's time mukuro got out of vindice prison. hibari goes along with it in the hopes of killing the man who humiliated him. i've always loved the relationship between hibari and mukuro because it's so fucked up, and this really captures that sort of dynamic. i mean, who breaks into the highest security prison for criminals that are regarded as dangers to humanity to kill someone? it's awesome, and hibari in this is perfect, especially his need to kill mukuro only when he's at his strongest. hibari is not without honour after all.
