The father and I did the mother of all last-minute-Christmas-shopping-excursion today. It really was quite impressive, given that we don't even know where we're having Christmas dinner tomorrow. Well, I say the father and I. What I really mean is that I ran around Dublin like a madwoman finding gifts before calling him up and telling him where I was and how much money I needed.
There was also an interesting part where I pretended to be my younger sister so we could buy a phone for her (it had to be registered and such).
The father, it turns out, can be quite the impulse buyer when he puts him mind to it. This will have to be exploited fully in the not-too-distant future.
Also, run don't walk to the nearest Penneys and pick up a pair of their too-cool-for-school pink rose-print wellies. Never have I coveted a pair of sensible shoes so much. They're absolutely mad and at E15 they're a bargain too!
Next stop: January Sales! (Which actually start on December 28th, except in A-wear and Oasis where they have already started).
