After a week of heavy research, I can say with complete certainty that I prefer the Scissor Sisters to the Pixies. I may even prefer them to Franz Ferdinand.
Thanks to the Bud Rising festival, I have, in the past week seen Humanzi, Teenage Fanclub, Kings of Leon and the Pixies (Tuesday) and Jem, Maroon 5, Franz Ferdinand and Scissor Sisters (Wednesday).
I was going to go into my exact opinions of each performance, but then I realised no one would care =P If you want to know what I thought of anyone, leave a comment!
Yesterday, I flew over to Cambridge for the day to have a snoop around. It's so pretty! I'm definitely going to apply to Emmanuel College.. there are ducks there! Everyone was really friendly and helpful and I just have a really good feeling about it.
Something I do not have a really good feeling about, however, are Ryan Air's trainee pilots. Yes, I only paid €4.99 for my flight, but the landing was the absolute worst I have ever experienced. And I fly a lot. I've had bad landings before, but generally, they're during storms and what not. The day was absolutely clear. The plane was lurching all over the place and rocking, yes, rocking from side to side and we descended. The flight back was better though, fortunately.
Hmm... this post wasn't really about anything at all, but I felt I should update so you didn't all think I had dropped off the face of the planet or anything. I'm meeting ninepointfive and paranoidkitten tomorrow, yay!
