Lets see.....
Friday: Kaleb and Ben made their way up to Bellingham at about 11pm. Not much really happened that night. Ben came down with a severe case of the tingles and everyone else ended up fixed on the tube.
Saturday: The next.... afternoon Aaron, Kayser, Ben , Kaleb, Dave and I went to Arlis' for some delicious eats. Ben earned a free meal by taking a manly shot of Syrup. Then just to prove it wasn't a fluke, he finished off the remaining syrup on the table. Well played Ben!
We all then went back to "the House" where us Woolley boys warmed up for our football rematch from last week. Kaleb and I worked out a few plays while Aaron pep talked a now syrup intoxicated Ben. After a couple scrumptious apples brought over by Dave the night before, we were off to the park.
We arrived to a wonderful and unexpected surprise. It seems the local fantasy role playing group had decided to get some fresh air and stage a battle of Geektastic proportions. Complete with card board weapons and shields, these nerdicles were not messing around! Some wielded light sabers, others had twin keyblades. There were even large mallets and some odd hook shaped things that didn't seem to be very useful. It was quite the event to witness.
After a bit of bitching and moaning from the syrup sucker, our football game finally got underway. There were some great plays made by everyone. I never thought I would ever enjoy
football this much. But playing with friends is really a lot of fun. After our game we took some freaking Awesome
pictures to commemorate the event. We got a group shot that is simply fantastic! So much so we all want to get it printed and framed.
Then it was time for B&K to head back home. We all said our teary goodbyes and parted ways ;-P
After all that fun I didn't want to just go home to my lonely apartment. So I called up my recently adopted sisters and we all went out to dinner. Upon arriving at the restaurant I was greeted by three rather flirtatious girls. They must of had a thing for artists, cause after I asked for some crayons they sat us at their VIP table. Known there as the
Soprano Booth. It was pretty Badass I must admit. I made sure to draw them a Super Bad inspired picture on my kids menu.
After dinner we went back to Kari's to finish off the Vodka from two weekends ago and play some drunken karaoke. I think the biggest surprise of the night was finding out that Erin could hold her liquor WAY better than Kari or I! We all drank exactly the same amount and in the end she still seemed practically sober. Crazy!
Sunday: I awoke on the couch and turned on the TV to watch the last hour of A Very Brady Movie. After that I figured it was time to go home and get some chores done. When I arrived at my apartment I suddenly realized I had left my previous nights leftovers at Kari's. This simply would not do! I called Kari up at once. The distraught tone in my voice accompanied with ever pending boredom of the unplanned day provoked her and Erin to come up to Bham to hang out once more as well as reunite me aforementioned previous night yummys. :-D
We all decided it would be nice to even out our fine dining experience from the night before, with a sub par chinese buffet that cost just as much with quite possibly the most unsatisfying chinese food I've ever choked down. (Not your place Sarah, we unfortunately went somewhere else :-)
With that we did a little bit of shopping then Erin and Kari left back for the valley. I returned home to finish watching the Beverly Hillbillies (a classic 90s gem :-) which I had started earlier in the week, and to do some editing to the Team Tetris footage from 2006. I was actually able to complete the intro. Heres a little
sneak peek :-D
So thats that. another weekend, another assortment of mouth watering memories to add to the menagerie. Whats happening next weekend? Not a clue! Anyone wanna do something? :-P
