So much adventure, so little weekend

So this weekend I got to experience Whatcom Falls park for the very first time. All I can say is Beautiful! Wow! This place is amazing beyond words. When I'm there I feel like I'm in natures playground or something. I just want to run around and explore every awesome nook and cranny. And I can't wait to dive into that swimming hole. Looks amazing!
Saturday was fantastic. Ben is back from Alaska and came up to hang out. Aaron, Ben and I took in some evening swimming at Lake Whatcom. Then we headed downtown to hang with a bunch of PR Web-heads. It was pretty fun. We met up with everyone at the bowling alley, then spent a little time at the Beaver. Personal opinion, the Beaver sucks! The drinks were gross and the 'tender was kind of a douche. But that wasn't going to ruin the night. The PR's all pretty much disbanded after the Beaver so a fairly inebriated Lauren joined up with us as we headed off to the Horseshoe for some delicious Cheese Fries. BEST CHEESE FRIES EVER! Every fry came absolutely coated in an unhealthy amount of delectable cheese. YUM!!
After the Horseshoe Ben and I were pretty much ready to go crash at my place, But Lauren using the power of intoxicated logic insisted the night was not over. So with not a moment to spare we dashed off the the Grand Ave. Ale House. Where I enjoyed one of their lip puckering Raspberry Lemonade drinks. Ben had a something or other and Lauren nearly fell asleep. Last call came quickly and it was time to start our staggering journey home.
Along the way I used my magician like abilities (but mostly a pack of bar matches) to cast fire into the night. Eventually as Ben and I were walking along, we realized Lauren had stopped completely. Almost a whole block in the distance, she was perched on a traffic barricade talking on her cell phone. We tried calling to her over and over, "Lauren!" ..."LAUREN!!" Finally I tired of waiting for the response we were not being given and began running at her full speed. As I rushed closer I realized slowing down might be wise if I didn't want to knock us both into the street. I actually was kind of surprised when we didn't immediately as I tackled Lauren off of her concrete pedestal. But caught in my amazement, I failed to notice Lauren herself was not quite yet stable from the impact until she was already on her way down. I caught her just in time for us both to hit the ground without too much damage. We made our way back to the apartments to sleep away our drunken statures.
The next morning Ben, Lauren and I headed back downtown to meet up with Aaron, Kayser and Shay for breakfast at (BLANK). At one point Lauren noticed a bandaid on her elbow and asked Ben and I if we knew how it got there. We laughed and played dumb until started piecing the night together. During breakfast, I discovered Ben's camera and became impressed with it instantly. Needless to say later on I went home and ordered one for myself :-P
After breakfast we all hung out a bit more until it was time for Ben to leave. Then the rest of us went to Whatcom Falls park. Once again I ran around like a kid off his meds. It was great fun! Before the day came to a close I decided to hit up Michael's to get frames for all the Posters I still had in tubes. I also bought a little wood burning tool and some practice wood So I can try my hand at some pyrography. After some frustrated framing and surprisingly easy hanging, my apartment now basically looks like a gallery of posters :-D

Anyway those were the events of my weekend. Whats next? Who knows. But I bet it'll be fun.
