Another 4th of July, Another Team Tetris
This year we all had a lot of fun. Everything was a bit last minute, but it all worked out incredibly well in the end. The team this year consisted of:
Aaron as Mario
Chad as Luigi
Melissa as Princess Peach
Lauren as Princess Daisy
Ryan as Lakitu
and Me as a Hammer Bro.
Ryan's costume was by far the most extravagant. He actually built a wire frame out of coat hangers for his Cloud base. He also made spiked balls to throw at Aaron and Chad, one of which was on a fishing line so he could cast it at them. It was VERY awesome!
Aaron and Chad were great as the Mario Bros. Jumping all over the place while passing out high 5's and candy. They were also nice enough not to kick my ass for hitting them repeatedly with my hammer. I guess I got a little too into my roll and was hitting them a bit hard :-P Sorry guys.
The Princess's did a great job as well carrying our signs, waving at all the jealous little girls in the crowd, and pretending not to hear all the cat calls of stupid drunken hicks :-D
By the end of it all we were SUPER tired, but we all had a great time. Carme even stuffed last year's footage into Aaron's pocket as we went by. So we should have some sweet video to post up soon. From what I've seen, the shots are amazing.
In all is was another awesome year for Team Tetris. Next year we want to have everything REALLY planned out. Try to be bigger than ever. Bring back the Tetris pieces and maybe even design and build us a REAL float. If anyone is interested let us know and we'll contact you for our first meeting.
