endless cycle I call life

Dug myself a hole
willing yet unkowingly
i was in too deep
had I fallen in or taken a leep

expected advice from an unexpected friend
woke up from a daze
woke up to reality
I finally got some clarity

I managed to climb my way out
said my peace and set my mind
freed from the chains
away from the fire

teetering on the edge
ready to break
ready to dive right back in,
only to climb out again
