I can now say that I bought my copy of Les Miserables from a friggin WARSHIP! Muahahaha. The
MV Doulos was reeeeaaaally cool. Yesterday was their last day to be docked in the Philippines (or anywhere else since it's gonna be decommissioned after close to 100 years of service) so I went with a bunch of batchmates (thanks Marius!) and we all gawked and took pictures like tourists. I've never been to the local sea port before so I gawked even more than necessary. Aheeee.
Entrance fee was only 10 bucks and all of the books inside were oh-so-unbelievably-cheap. The management books in there were hard-bound, colored, and sold in the 200-500 peso range! But I didn't get the archaeology ones. Kulang pera. *sad* And since they had an international crew (Australians, Africans, Indians, Koreans, Cantonese, etc.), I got mistaken for one. What the hell. Natawa nalang ako.
After a while I got seasick so I spent like fifteen minutes beside the lifeboats getting some wind and watching the fish.
We went to MOA afterwards to watch The Golden Compass. It was okay. Nicole Kidman's great as a villain. Then there were the goshdamnawesome fireworks that we didn't get to see because we went to one side of the mall before we noticed that everyone else was rushing to the opposite direction. XD Goshdamnawesome sparkles nalang naabutan namin. Fun!
