Taken from Gin's blog entry about last Friday, since she's already narrated it and I'm too lazy to type:
Again, no hacking and ITM classes. For ITM we just had to answer a survey regarding the curriculum. Haha. Wil and I love the core curriculum. Ateneo's core curriculum is the shiznit. XD After answering the survey, I reminded her about the blood drive (sponsored by Kythe). She was very enthusiastic about giving blood. And by very, I mean more-than-normal. XDDD The first time we went to a blood drive was 2 years ago.
During that time, it was my idea to go. I know it's odd that I'd want to donate blood seeing as I'm deathly afraid of needles. But seeing as it's for a good cause, I decided to suppress the urge to scream and run away. Wil was just there for moral support. I convinced her to get her blood tested too since we were the only people there at the time. The results came back and we found out that 1) we were both B+, and 2) I couldn't donate while she could. I don't remember the reason why I couldn't (if they gave me a reason at all). So Wil, who never planned on giving blood in the first place, was very generous. See
this entry for that day. =)
Well, today the tables turned. Wil couldn't give blood because she was too light (107 lbs @_@). Obviously no problems for me about being too light. XD 'Twas funny because I went to my philo class after giving blood. But before I could give blood, there was a delay. A girl fainted and I had to give up my cot for a bit. It was either because of the sight of blood, or because she was so nervous to donate. Haha. I was just about to be prepped when Wil suddenly starts going, "Gin, Gin!" and I look behind me to see an unconscious girl. Haha. Yes, I'm still deathly afraid of needles, but not to the point of fainting. But I didn't want to risk it, so I didn't look as the intern stuck the needle into my arm, nor when she took it out. But I do have a video of the latter. XDDD
Marketing class was also interesting. Had to do a commercial for our products. We did a completely jologs one which was funny nonetheless -- one of the top 3 thanks to Hector's clapping skills.
Watched 27 Dresses with Kiko after that. Okay movie. Cringe-worthy music cues (but really, I'm the only one who notices these things), bad dialogue, total cheese and cliche.
Then ukay with Kim and Gutch. I got some great tops this time as compared to my last ukay adventure and the only shirt I ended up buying had a hole the size of Australia at the back. I was too dumb to inspect it. Amateur. Haha. At least I'm qualified for the Ukay Olympics now. XD Kim, on the other hand, found (and tried on) a one-boobed shirt. Long story. Have the pics to prove it. *evil laugh*
Lastly, Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett seems to have disappeared from Philippine shores. I can't find a copy anywhere! Settled for Wintersmith by Terry Pratchett instead, though considering there's only 19 days left of school (according to LJ statuses the world over), I don't think I'd be flipping that open til March.
