VH1
So I've been watching VH1 on and off since last night... and all they have been showing is "celebrity cribs" and "wall street ballers" and "fabulous weddings", as they call them. I'm absolutely astounded that people spend so much money. Like this chick... her fantasy wedding was over a million dollars. I cannot think for the life of me how you can possibly spend that much... on one event. And it doesn't bother her that she doesn't have a job or something to do? I dunno... and then why would you needed a heated bathroom floor? Umm, just put on some slippers. Just a suggestion. And then why do these people have so much money? I've never thought of people like Pam Anderson as a major contributor to humanity or what his face... some basketball player from Orlando Magic. But... I'm not exactly contributing much to the world either.
Not to say I don't spend frivilously at all. However, I'd like to think that even if I became a millionaire I wouldn't be spending $5,000 on a purse or thousands of dollars to build an outdoor bathtub. Yeah I dunno... but I'd hope that I would still be a grounded person. Which I think so. We don't do so bad financially for what we have. I am a little lax when it comes to spending on groceries and eating out. That definitely.:X It just distresses me that it seems like these people are from a different planet, like they have no conception of the outside world. I guess I could say the same to a point, but I dunno, it bothers me. I'm weird I dunno, why should it bother me? I just feel like I'm wasteful enough, I try to be aware though. Comparatively speaking, I'm a novice. Blah, whateva. :P
