after hours is the place that all the hardcore nightlife-lovin' folk head off to when all the bars close. mostly restaurant people, but several of the weekend regulars are known to host them.
i think the big party was over at my friend jeffie's, but i walked across the street to todd's (also a bartender at merriman's). there was a bottle of grey goose, good conversation, and lots of aveda hairspray. todd decided to go all impromtu stylist. i had to wash my hair, like, four times to get it all out. :)
So... the bar is closed... and yet there is a party inside for other bartenders, waitresses, etc, etc? Are the drinks free or are they being sold illegally? More importantly, how does one get in to these parties?
no, no- i went across the street to another bartender's house. i have worked at bars where you just lock the door and get drunk with several 'chosens', though. that is illegal, but it happens. you just need to be in with the bartender. :)
at my current place of employment, however, that's all but impossible. david is beyond anal; he's got cameras everywhere. and even though he's out of town, he likes to record the feed while he's gone. he watches it when he gets back... in his boxers, munching some popcorn. heh.
