awesome weekend update.
friday night: my mom and i stood in the rain for a half hour while waiting for pregame to start so that we could be all "aw, my brother is a senior!" and stand on field with him. so that sucked, except for when we were family like. we didn't stay for the game because it was wet and cold. my mom, jeri, and i went to applebee's for dinner. i also got new tennis shoes, because i noticed that mine were really really falling apart.
saturday: we did nothing! and it was glorious. jeri and i went to trader joe's and i got a couple jars of the delicious curry simmer sauce, and a masala sauce (hey kathryn, the sauces are $2.29 apiece, since you had wondered how much they were). we had one of my favorite meals ever for dinner (corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots, also known as New Englad boiled dinner) and i made berry cobbler for dessert. yum-o. i ordered a winter coat from Land's End, but when i saw it at Sears (they carry LE stuff), it was stupid and ugly, so i cancelled the order (hopefully). so now i have to keep looking. we watched The Others, which was pretty cool. i really liked the twisty end.
sunday: i got some new shoes. all-weather mocs so i don't have to tie shoes in the winter! haha. then we came back here (with my brother in tow). i made pizza for dinner, then my brother and i went to the BNL concert!
BNL concert: it was AWESOME. other than the opening act being...lame, it was an awesome experience. my throat is a little scratchy today from singing and screaming, but i'd do it again in a heart beat. what's even cooler is that i should be able to download the performance in a few days. other than explaining every aspect of the awesome, there's not much to say. i loved it, and it was neat to go with my brother. and well, i've liked BNL since 8th grade, so it was about time i saw them in concert.
