Another Concert Picspam + mp3 Extravaganza! AAA Taipei. Enjoy!

May 12, 2008 23:18

I have conquered the Zoo, I-80, and 12 hours of rainy driving, and have returned safely to NJ, with most of my pride intact. This calls for a celebration. I bring you AAA Taipei:

As always, be aware that there are gratuitous numbers of screencaps behind this lj cut. I have no self-control. )

"Aiba, please don't give in to this habit. It's . . . unseemly."

But somehow Aiba manages to look cute and impish, whereas Jun looks like a lascivious icky-something. Aiba cannot but look adorable. Though I have to say, as much as Jun's over-active tongue creeps me out, that tongue shot from "Cool & Soul" is kind of hot (maybe because the persona is actually right for that performance).

But then, as we have discussed, that whole performance is super hot. For all the reasons you mention, and surely more that can't be expressed except in inarticulate panting-type noises. Which I'm making even without looking at the pics.

Missed the Ohmiya self-congratulatory hand-gripping thing under the table -- that's a favorite moment there for me. 'Yes, we are badass rock stars,' they say. 'Oh, you too? Well done.'

I totally dig the nouveau-riche vampire outfits, frothiness and rhinestones and all. It's like eighteenth-century decadence... and then the white shoes for a laugh. I love how often their shoes and belts are white. More of the disco aesthetic?

Must watch the end of the concert for that Sakumiya interaction -- Aiba's face is totally hilarious there.

To disjointedly weigh in on the gay disco clown outfit debate (even though I'm not in that thread), I agree that some of them look kind of hot -- Sho, particularly gets some nice lines from that outfit, and Aiba pulls it off too. Jun is Jun and can't be helped (though the midriff thing is ... well, you know how I am about a nice midriff) -- but the colors!. Nino? Somehow the pajama cut lands him in a different, less shiny genre than the rest. I'm not sure on Ohno, since the fringe does swish so nicely with the wiggly Hadashi no Mirai dancing, etc. But the tunic length makes him look sadly truncated and oddly proportioned, and we can't have that! Really, the sans-wig outfits are no worse than anything else their cracked-out costume designer has velcro-ed them into -- but when you see it first with the wig, it's hard to weep that image out of your eyes.

Okay, I'm going home -- here's hoping my internet signal works tonight, since last night was sad, sad, sad.

*laughs*

Yeah, I screencapped the handshake, but it didn't make the cut at 3:30 am. If you want it . . . you'll have to post it yourself^__^

or send me a picspam theme that would include it @__@

What's really sad is that there actually was cutting. I need to be less verbose, I think. But the concerts are done, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Because what the world needs is more nouveau-riche disco vampires. oy.

Yes, the disco outfit does nice things for Sho--it also bequeaths an ass on Aiba--but he still looks like he needs about 4 roast beef sandwiches. And I'm a vegetarian. Ohno . . . I'm on the fence on that one. Nino's doesn't do anything for me at all. Jun's is so ridiculous in its piling-on of pink and purple, that I think I might actually like it. A-and he does have a nice midriff. A midriff in dire need of some meatloaf. With fried eggs on top.
