Procrastination pt. 3: Iza Now Tour!! concert, or as I call it 'Sakumiya Fest 2004'
Prepare yourself. And don't say I didn't warn you. Especially if you're an Ohmiya fan.
Ok, so It has come to my attention that I was being too coy and implicit here. The links are mp3s from the concert that I ripped from the concert dvds, cut in Garageband and re-encoded as mp3s for your downloading pleasure. Please take. It took me about 3 days to do for all 5 concerts, so somebody other than me should be enjoying them.
I like how this shot from the intro sequence suggests they’re from outer space. It’s all becoming much clearer now.

Here, Ohno reprises his famous role as a robot from the How’s it Going? Tour . . . Seriously, WTF?
I think Jun is trying to be sexy here. Instead it comes off as dorky and cute . . . which I actually prefer. I saw way too much of his tongue in the two AAA concerts.
I already have a warm spot in my heart for this concert, because of moments like these, which were sadly lacking in HIG:
Nothing spectacular; they’re just playing off of each other. It’s just nice to see more personal interaction.

Oh thank God for Ohno’s solo. I’ll let the pink satin jacket pass, after the last set. And Ohno’s solos are always mesmerizing. You could put him in a bunny suit, and if he were singing “Rain,” or “Top Secret,” I probably wouldn’t even care.

At this point, I finally realize that the real story of this concert seems to be Sakumiya. What can I say? I was a little slow.

Under the vests are . . . shirts with shoulder chains and rhinestones. Idk, I don’t even blink anymore. I may need help choosing my own clothes soon.
Aiba messes up his choreography, and doesn’t try to brazen it out. Slfjlajsflskajdfja. He may just be the most adorkable thing ever. Also, I would like to draw attention to the "Arashi" 'tattoo' on Aiba's shoulder. For it is cute.

Sho’s Solo: It’s really hard to do Gangsta with strips of sequins, but I think he almost does it. I actually really like this solo. And this outfit is much better than the Dome version . . .

Aiba’s probably a lost cause, but Jun at least seems to care, and he dresses himself well on most occasions, so what the hell is going on with his solo outfits?? Don’t Cry? Tell me what you want to be? Yabai-Yabai? Yabai? -it certainly is. Yabai, I mean,
Having said that, the outfit for La Familia isn’t that bad. The T-shirt is ugly, but not horrifying, and that’s about all we can hope for. And the solo is squee-inducing. And I understand he wrote the song. They should let him do that more often. For one thing, it’s actually within his vocal abilities. When are they going to get him a vocal coach? It’s been nine years.

I have a quick request out there, to flist, and anyone else who cares to respond. Next week, I'm going on a 30 hour road trip. One of the members of said trip is adamantly anti-jpop. I have negotiated 10% jpop since it's my car and I'm doing most of the driving. I'm probably going to put together a 15-20 hour playlist and could use some suggestions. Our tastes are pretty eclectic. Last year, we did everything from Madonna to Nickelback to Linkin Park to Rage Against the Machine to U2 to anime themes (I snuck those in) and Sarah McLachlan. Some 60s and 70s wil probably be good as long as I don't overdo it.
No spoken word, nothing too quiet to be heard over road sound, and pretty good beat.
Any suggestions? I figure this is also a great way to expand my music, since radio here is . . . less than fantastic. I'd really appreciate it . . .
