how leslie got her groove back
so ive been promising this entry for weeks...ive just been so busy..lol ...you know how it is....
so leslie came to visit me in june !!@1111!2!!@(*)(#&*@(^&!&@#%!!!!
it was so awesome. so im gonna attempt a day by day recap deal...and it might be boring-lol-just to warn yall
MONDAY (i think..this might be a day off or so)
i went to go pick up the l-dawg from the airport, but i was on empty so i was like, 'aight, ill go by my local gas station and get gas so that i dont breakdown!' but it was totally full and crowded and i didnt know what to do, so i was like. 'ill go to the next gas station!" which is only like a mile down the road but i had been on empty for 2 days so every bit counted and i was super afraid i was gonna run out before i got there. but i arrived safely at that gas station and was on my way :)
so i got to the airport like 30 minutes early because, for the first time ever, i didnt get lost-and i always allow extra time for that-. soo needlesss to say, i was extremely excited because she's my best friend and i havent seen her since like april and that was only for a little while and she hasnt come to savannah since i first moved here. so im all woohoo!!@!2 and then her flight got delayed like an hour and it was lame, and i got a book at that store they ahve there and it looked funny and cute but turns out it wasnt. so w/e, waiting was lame and then she got here !! so we got chickfila on the way home and then got home and called lee and we picked him up and went over to smith bros to pick up some ddp for les and DJ was working there! and so leslie adn i decided he was hot and upon returning home, drew pictures of him and wrote him a letter. the letter read : Dear DJ, You are hot. Love, Leslie and Carolyn . we had to pick up some vanilla extract for spiked ministers so we stopped by smith bros again on the way to dinner, and after closer examination, we decided he actually wasnt that hot.*
After dinner at pearl's with my family, we decided to swing by the churchhouse to see lee and robby-post bell practice-. but we had to wait like 30 min. btdub, it was like dangerously storming the whole day/night. so it kept on thundering and lightenenening and it was scary and it practically screamed impending doom. so we all decided to go to starbucks. and the power was out!!! so like the streetlights were out and stuff and it was lame, so we went to the starbucks at the bn and then the power went out there. and we left. and i think we chilled at robbys house for a little while after that. hung out in his van some-which, btdub, is so cool. and then we left. and we borrowed ferris bueller's day off !!
So later that night we watched some of fbdo and leslie made paperdolls of everyone-lol. theyre really fun. and i think thats pretty much it.
*note: once we decided DJ wasnt that cool, we revised the letter to read : Dear DJ, You are not hot. And you smoke pot. Love, Leslie and Carolyn.
TUESDAY
so i guess we woke up and hung around the house for a while. eventually we decided to 'take the day off' and we convinced robby to do so as well, but since he doesnt do much anyway it was more like taking the day on. well we were all kinda taking the day on -lol. so we picked up robby and then sean so he could take the day off too (and he has a job, so he was actually taking the day off from something). btdub, way for him to live like as far away as possible from everything. so then we went to cancun on wilmington and it was storming really bad again and the power went out again and so we all went back to my house and chilled. we were gonna go see dodgeball but the attempt to mohawk robby's hair took too long. so we watched orange county and then went out to that diner on abercorn (aka the one where i hit the pole in december). then we dropped robby and sean off at robby's. and when we got home, we made spiked ministers!!!@!!!1
Spiked Ministers: back in the day-aka 7th gradeish- leslie and i went and saw 'keeping the faith' after which we were like 'yea, we totally have to become religous leaders of opposing faiths' and then we went back to my house and made cookies. but we didnt have many key ingredients, including brown sugar, so we were like, well...if we use an excessive amount of vanilla extract and extra sugar, itll be perfect!! so yea basically theyre like alcoholic cookies, cuz the extract doesnt totally cookout of it. so, in the spirit of 'keeping the faith', we called them Spiked Ministers!
WEDNESDAY
we took the day off again!! picked up robby and sean and went to see dodgeball - which was, of course, good-. then we went out to applebees and Christina and Kathryn were there!! so we sat with them and ate...and then we took sean back to wilmington and called lee and picked him up and then hungout at my house for a while...chilled, watched seinfeld, you know the drill. and then kathryn l came over!! and we chilled some more and then went to starbucks at the mall again. and then i guess we did some dropping off and went home. maybe we watched roxbury that night..i dont remember..
THURSDAY
leslie was supposed to go home today but she stayed longer!!!!!!!!!)!*@&!)*&@!!_)@&02873081621!!!!!!!!!!!!!2 so we went to the aquarium... the turtles outside were the best part, but it was aight...it brought back memories from going there when i was like 5-but it seemed a lot cooler then. so then we literally laid around my room for several hours. then we went to cutters and the mall. and then called robby to see if he wanted to go get soup with us and so we picked him up and went to atl bread comp and waited like an hr for our food cuz they had forgotten to make it and so it was free! and then it was raining again-lol, so we went back to my house and Christina came over and we watched soem of 'say anything' (way for john cusack to be super cool). and then christina and robby left. and i think leslie and i mightve watched roxbury then-if we hadnt before (lol). and then we had already gone to bed when we decided to have a shaving party!!! (btdub, shaving parties at 2 am arent as successful as one would hope).
FRIDAY
i was talking to lee online and he was like 'hey wanna go out to lunch'and i was like 'aight' (at this point he thought leslie was back in the A-Town) so we went to go pick him up and leslie was hiding in the back under a blanket and so lee got in and i was like hey whatsup..etc...and then leslie appeared and he was like AHHHHHHHHH and yea it was fun. so we went to toucan and it was really good. then later that afternoon we went out on the boat but the water was really choppy and it wasnt very sunny so i couldnt get my tan on ( welcome to razor burn island, population us) and then later we called robby to take the night off with us-lol-again! and so we went to the mall and hung around FYE for a while. and my super cool friend Faran was there! i hadnt seen her since midMay. so that was great. and then we rented oceans 11 and watched it at robby's. way for that movie to be awesome. i dont really know what leslie and i did later that night.
