Glenside contra last night
The good:
- A set of squares with Sam, right after arrival!
- A contra with rapper!Andrew right afterwards, and later one with springiswrath and one with philochoros.
- The unexpected pleasure of a waltz before break with Ridge. A lovely tune ('Amelia') and a gallant partner. :)
- The even-more-unexpected pleasure of a hambo with Dave W!
- Dave W actually noticing what I was wearing (my Red Hat), and Sam liking my dress (my stars & moon dress).
- My soon-to-be-traditional post-calling WaWa stop.
The bad:
- My calling. Well, it wasn't so much bad as unsatisfactory to me. I cued the band too early for three-times-through, I prompted too long, and my prompts still have a tendency to be too early at first and too late at the end. I need to practice more.
- No opportunity to dance the leader's part.
The funny:
- Making Rich, Tanya, Ted, and Mel, all in a row, gape when I walked in.
