I think we are getting that house. hopefully we talk to the broad today, cause sittin' around waiting for the final "YES!" is lame. my paycheck is almost $200 better than my last and it's still too little. luckily I'm on full length shifts and I get another check at the end of the month. hopefully current landlord will let us out at the end of the month since there is only a month to month lease and he has dollar signs in his eyes...
Kaveh found a persian restaurant less then a mile from the house, it's 1 mile to balboa park (the same difference we are to the beach right now) and there are bookstores! PB only has one crappy little bookstore, why read when you can surf?

I went back to a doctor two days ago. he didn't want me to go to work, instead, get on state disability until my insurance kicks in. that wouldn't work, as that would make me ineligible for benefits at work, so he agreed to let me go back on the same status I'm at now. he wants me to come back so he can refer me to an orthopedist and get an MRI. it is his professional opinion that I need surgery, I guess we will wait and see what the MRI says. I wonder if I can even get an MRI. you aren't supposed to have any metal in your body and they have people remove fillings. I have several wires in my chest, I'm not sure what kind of metal they are.

last night, Kaveh took me to Rafaela's, a little italian restaurant in an old house by the beach. they let you bring your own wine. it was a belated birthday present from two years ago. everything was filled with creamy cheesy goodness and I think I'm going to die today. they had the best tomato soup ever, that I would try to duplicate, but I can never eat it again or it will kill me. the seating was all outdoors. we sat in the back under a huge garage tarp with heaters. they had house cats, one adorable and chubby longhaird thing that wsa happily sprawled out on it's back under a heater, and a younger white and oragne tabby with crazy eyes.

today is day off numero dos. I absolutely must dig up my lemon grass
