I'M GOING TO TRY TO BE BRIEF WITH THIS. I know, not my strength, but whateva - just you watch me.

As for your entry, I actually read it twice before I really got the full effect of the implicit consent. After my first time through, I thought that it maybe should have had a dub-con warning, but reading it through again, it becomes much clearer. There were other entries (#7, for example) that probably need warnings much more desperately than yours did. (Though, really, we could probably go back through the challenges and find dozens, if not hundreds, of examples that need warnings. Is it possible that the emphasis on warnings in challenge eight, combined with the consent discussions you mention have made you ultra-sensitive?
Anyhow, I'm glad that you had fun with your family and gladder than you're back!

You make a good point - I don't have any triggers or squicks that I know of so I don't really notice the lack of warnings for fics that could otherwise use them. I guess when taken relatively mine wasn't as bad as it could've been and some other entries have been (much as I enjoyed them for that element of surprise); it just occurred to me that I might've made a pretty big gaffe, so of course my perspective went to a paranoid and irrational place. >.> And I think you're right - the concern cropped up right after the warnings issue was broached in challenge 8, because normally I probably would've remained completely oblivious. So, yeah. :D
Thx my dear, I'm glad I'm back too. ^^
