First, a little back-story. About a month ago (actually it may be more like 2 now), my left wrist started hurting, ALOT, for short periods of time, whenever I looked at it wrong. After a few weeks of this, I became somewhat worried and, after much prodding from friends, went to go see the on-campus doctor, who told me that it was "Tendonitis, and no big deal", instructing me to ice it, get a wrist brace, and just not use the wrist much.... Fuck that doctor!!! First off, he never mentioned that I should be icing the elbow (where the tendon starts) as opposed to the wrist (where it hurts). Secondly, according to another doctor I have visited, the brace, while SOMEWHAT beneficial, really only provides superficial support, and realistically I should have my arm in a sling. Thirdly, I should not have been using the arm AT ALL unless absolutely necessary. So, the fact that I would play guitar for about 20 minutes a day (a big drop from my general hour or two plus cello practice), and use it to hold things, open doors, etc. may have permanently damaged the tendon to the point where I soon might not be able to play EITHER competently again!! That stupid doctor damn near ruined me musically, and now my wrist is twice as bad as it was when I went to see him, but I main form of venting is now barred to me, and I don't really see myself going to class/work in a sling working too terribly well, but I am going to try... AARRGGH!!!!
Also, the issue with my bike that produced my dislocated shoulder remains unfixable for the forseeable future, due to a high volume of people with broken bikes...
