Late Monday night, my very close friend Rachel James was in a car accident. She was returning to Bloomington after visiting her boyfriend at Purdue when she fell asleep at the wheel, crossed the median, and hit an oncoming truck. She was taken to a nearby county hospital where she was revived and then transfered to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Either in transit or after she arrived, her heart stopped. She passed away sometime that night. A service will be held for her on Saturday from 2 to 4.
