I am productive like whoa lately, but this is interesting (I even discovered it while doing homework (I'm such a good girl (if doing homework is the definition of good, anyway))):

Japanese:
残す, pronounced nokosu
definition: to leave (behind, over); to bequeath; to save; to reserve (we did it a lot in Japan; it was like, we're weeding the garden and we 残す the strawberries)

Chinese:
残, pronounced can (2nd tone (so if you don't know pinyin, it's like tsahn, starting with a low pitch and getting higher))
definition: destroy / spoil / ruin / injure / cruel / oppressive / savage / incomplete / disabled
