Confident, Again....

Well, it has been a couple of weeks since the Great Happy Disaster.  And I am happy to report that Happy is humming along just fine.  This past weekend, I decided to convert her over to do caps.  In order to do that, I had to remove the needle plate, switch the flat frame for the hat frame, raise the presser foot  and tweak the computer options so the cap operation will function correctly.

I had purchased hats from my clothing distributor.... nothing special so if I goofed up on them I could throw them away without a great loss.  So, all weekend long, I created cap designs and then stitched them out onto caps.  I learned a great deal about what works and what does not.  I learned the quirks about my machine and how to make sure that they do not ruin a hat being stitched out..  But for sure, when I get a cap order, I will have to order a few extra for those oops stitch-outs.

But I do have a great deal of confidence in the machine again.  I have found that there is very little that Happy cannot do.  If I can hoop it, I can stitch it!!!
