Killer Day!
Today was Natsu Keiko, aka Karate Summer Camp!
That would be 5 hours of karate training in 93 degree weather.. CRAZY! Anywho it was a lot of fun, it takes a lot for me to drag myself out there and put myself into it, but once I do I enjoy it a lot.
I got to teach two sessions of jump and flying kicks, which just so happens to be my favorite thing to do at summer camp. This year I was able to jump over two hay bails high with a sidekick, and Nykol got an awesome shot of it. Once I get it I'll have to post it. I tried jumping three but I either grazed the top bail or tumbled into it lol.
Anywho, Good times!
Sensei Dugan gave his second degree black belt from back in the day to Sensei Botrell.. which was really cool... Dugan choked a bit, as he passed off his belt and showed his deep respect and pride of his student and honored him with his old belt, which is a tradition I had never witnessed before.
