Hello LJ - I am back
Monday I returned from an awesomely long vacation. The first leg of the trip was spent in Blacksburg, VA with Brian's Dad and Stepmom and their big. black lab, Staples. I nicknamed him StaplesCenter. We hiked at their Shawsville Country home, we canoe-ed (is that a word?) on the new river with uncle Kenny, sipped Budweiser and ate steak sandwiches.
We visited the Dixie Caverns which is like the real version of the stalagtites you see on the train ride at Disneyland - inside a mountain! We saw little bats hanging upside down!
Last half of the trip was spent at my Grandma's where we lounged, watched enough cable tv for a lifetime and ate all her good cookin'. We planted her a garden out front, painted her shed, groomed the dog...finding things that needed to be done there was pretty endless.
Work is soooo busy with someone in our department out sick every other day and always short a person, but when you work for such a great company, it makes up for all the hard work. Work is way better than it was 2 months ago.
My fiance and I (I am still getting used to that word, but it is fun to say) are working extra hard to pay off some debt so we can get saving for our future. Then we will think about picking a date :)
