We put up the Christmas tree today! (Yes, we use a fake one. We have many pine allergies that do not make for a very festive atmosphere.) The Littlest _Bandit enjoyed the tree, although we wouldn't let her play with it, which clearly wasn't fair because all of the older _Bandits got to play with it! Fortunately, the crisis was averted when she discovered a bright blue feather duster, which is definitely way cooler than the big indoor tree with all the sparkly things on it.
We also let her play with the felt Nativity scene. We stuck the figures to the couch, which she thought was pretty grand, but she was disappointed when they also didn't stick to her mother's face. But she gave the felt dog kisses so I guess it was okay. (No, I don't know why there was a golden retriever at the birth of Christ.)
Up to 20mg of Lexapro for the second day; no side effects as far as I know. I'm pretty sleepy, but I usually am on the weekends so I actually don't know that it's from the pillz. I requested to work in one of the mellower stores tomorrow so even if I do get a little on-edge yet, it probably won't be too bad. (Plus, now that Turkeymas is over, weekday flights will be the usual assortment of businessmen, so pretty chill anyway.) EDIT: Okay, okay, now that I think about it I am a little off and apparently prone to random teariness, but nothing too severe, and hell, it could be hormonal. And I've been a bit skittish, I guess. Still, I've had worse. :)
Lalala. Um. Did I ever tell you about the time I was on the bus heading into the city, looked out the window at a graveyard, and discovered an entire flock of wild turkeys just hanging out amongst the tombstones? Because . . . that's the whole story. I dunno, maybe you had to be there.
Also, apparently I have a time travel tag. I assume it exists for the occassions when I discuss time travel, but I hope someday I can use it for when I post from my time machine. Or perhaps, since it's time travel, I already have.
