64 and Mighty

Hark! The Shieldmaiden Damien did rest
Upon her seat in the Hall
Mighty was she, fearing neither
Shade nor specter nor ghastly visage.
And this brave maiden did a foul Beast
Attack, launching unnatural from the heights.

And thus leaped forward the Warrior
Preparing the Feast until the Beast
Attacked with its many wretchéd legs.
She bade the Maiden she loved, “Flee! Flee!
For this Beast must be felled,
And the battle must commence.”

So took she, the Warrior, her mighty Weapon
Which men call Smasher, a Shoe of renown.
Smasher had won battles many,
And bore the marks of victory
Upon its mighty sole. And so!
The Warrior raised it high.

The Beast saw above its Doom
And tried with its grisly strength
To flee the justice it knew it faced.
And the Warrior spared it no pity
For she knew the Beast would show her none
And too, it was most gross.

And in one swoop did Smasher fall
And in one swoop did crush the Beast!
Its cruel spirit abated, it lay defeated
But the Warrior knew there was yet a task.
And so she bore the crushéd corpse
Unto its final watery grave within the pipes below.

And flushed with battle, she did run
To see the Maiden, found her safe.
And she took her into her arms and swore
That Beast would never threaten again
And though its kind still lived on
The Warrior would ere protect her Love.

And so the feast continued joyous
Honoring the Warrior's victory
And the Maiden ate in safety for
The Warrior would defend the Hall
With her mighty weapon Smasher
Until no threat could yet remain.

Tl;dr: I smushed a cockroach for Damien. It was gross.
