60 and restless
Going on a little mini vacation with my folks from Friday through Monday. Very excited because I don't have to go to work or cook for myself for four days. Awesome? I think so. Also because I get to go look at antiques and eat in small-town restaurants and go play at an enormous toy store and museum with a carousel. Yaaaay! Also my parents will let me use the hot tub in their room, so. Plus I'm taking two days off, which means a two day work week, which is awesome.
In other news, Evie has decided her father isn't allowed to play with her Fisher Price animals anymore, because he is--and I am quoting the toddler here--"a ruffian." :D
Took Sir Percival to the vet, where he was ruled healthy and handsome. He was also a trooper with his shots, not minding the jabs so much as the fact that we kept interfering with his exploration of the exam room.
Uh. Books! I like books. I recently read I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak (who also wrote the phenomenal novel The Book Thief) and it was really awesome. And really strange. And really awesome.

Blood Red Road (Dustlands book 1) by Moira Young
Y, The Last Man, Vol 1: Unmanned by Brian K Vaughan and Pia Guerra
I am eagerly awaiting Tricked by Kevin Hearne. Have I remembered to recommend his Iron Druid Chronicles? Because they are goofy and awesome and have a talking Irish wolfhound who might be my favorite character ever, idk.
