40 and such........

I can't believe the time has flown by and I haven't posted for months!!!   EEKS!  Oh well, life gets a little hectic during the summer for me.  My residents are having a ball going and doing things.  It's been such a delight to do things with the 6-8 that venture out with me.  We did have to reschedule a trip twice to the Emu-Z-um until later this fall because it is just too hot for some of them.  The Emu-Z-um is such a fun place to go.  It is a replica of an old mining town.  You can go through each building and view all kinds of unique items.  They also have the contents of the Silver City Museum which is so cool!  It's weird to think that there was a town up at Silver City that was more bustling than Boise.  I can't wait until we get to go!  www.emuzum.com

I turned 40 last weekend.  I'm not sure how I feel about it.  I really don't feel any different but the mere thought of being a different decade perplexes me.  We had a fun time going to a Japanese steak house.  At the beginning Parker got a little scared when they set the grill on fire.  He sat in my lap for a lot of the cooking which was fun to snugglebug with him.  He is getting to be such a big boy.  He weighs 35 pounds and is 37 inches tall for 2 1/2.  It's amazing how fast the time goes.  Anyway, the food was delicious!  We had a little bit of everything (lobster, sesame chicken, shrimp, filet mignon, and veggies).  The filet mignon was everyone's favorite.  I would definitely get that the next time we go.  I was so proud of Dave because he actually ate something!  He seemed to enjoy himself too.  That was the best birthday present ever!  Speaking of birthday presents, I got a new rubbed bronze faucet for my bathroom.  It looks so nice!  Heidi helped me pick out tile for my front porch and then she bought it for me!  WOOT!  I am going to have a nice front porch entry soon!  Now it is just proding my hubby and brother-in-law to actually set up a date to install it!

Regarding my sister's pregnancy, she is 30 weeks now and is measuring about 36-37 weeks.  Poor thing is having a hard time of it when it comes to the walking department.  She has discovered riding carts at Lowe's and now Wal-mart.  Suddenly the world has changed for her and shopping is not a chore!!!!  I just have to laugh at that!

My in-laws are supposed to come some time this summer.  Dave talked to Jim the other day and he acted like he wasn't planning on coming soon.  I wonder if my mother-in-law has even broached the subject with him.  I guess we shall see!

There has been a lot of things that have happened since I last updated but for the life of me I can't think of anything more to write!  I guess I will just have to do a better job of updating!!!!!!!!
