Happy Birthday, Daddy!
Today is my dad's birthday. He would have been 78 today. Wow....time sure does fly since he has been gone. A couple of week's ago I was really, really, really sad. I cried and cried my eyes out. I haven't done that really since my dad died. I had the house to myself because Dave had to fill in at work and I took advantage. It's not often that I am actually alone in the house.
We were going to take a trip to Salmon this weekend since I haven't seen Dad's marker but I got sick and the roads in the mountains were supposed to be bad. Plus, Heidi and the family just got back from a week's vacation and she didn't want to ride in the car for that long. I don't think I was supposed to go this weekend. That's ok...I'm ok. I think we are going to try to go some time in May or early June. It really depends on how the twins are doing and how Heidi is faring. Heidi and Randy just bought a new house to make room for babies! They sign the papers on Friday. I really thought she would be farther along in packing. I would have gone over there to help today but I am in slug mode. This cold is kicking my butt.
Speaking of the twins, I can't believe how much bigger Heidi got during the week she was gone! She only gained a pound but it sure made her mid-section expand! She is officially in the 5th month now. We go to the ultrasound on April 21st. I hope we get to see everything!!! We joked about only being able to see one of them and then the other one would be in neutral clothing. Let's hope not!
It's official now. We signed the papers on Friday to buy our house. It's kinda surreal right now. We are going to be in a better position financially with the tax credit for first time home buyers. That will be nice to only have to worry about student loans and the mortgage. The best thing about the whole thing is that we don't have to move!!
Well, I am off for my medicine induced sleep! Gotta love it!!!
