Let's see....we met online in January of 1998 and didn't meet until November of 2001. We had a long distance relationship from the time we met and then I moved to TN in October of 2003. We got married on December 19th of 2003. Wheew!!! Dave always says he would NEVER do that again because it was so hard. Looking back, he would have forced one of us to move a whole heck of a lot sooner.

Steve and I started writing in September 1990, and met in March 1991. We had a long distance relationship for nearly a year before getting married. In that year, we saw each other 4 times. The fifth time was our wedding day. I do believe that the long-distance courtship made our relationship much stronger. It was hard to change my life so dramatically though - packing up and moving 500 miles from my family and friends to be with him. But I'm glad I took the chance. :)

I so agree with you about making the relationship stronger. The only way we had to communicate was actually talking to each other. That has made it so much easier. Mind you, I am an introvert and he is an extrovert and that has it's surprising challenges but we make it work!
