Yesterday was our 5th wedding anniversary! The time has flown by!
It's weird to think that we met because I got fired from a job and happened to stumble on a christian fellowship chat room on Prodigy. Next month, it will be 11 years since we have known each other. Our love has grown so much and I am in love more and more every day.
I surprised Dave yesterday for lunch. I ordered Chinese food and had it delivered. We ate all of our favorites in the private dining room with just the two of us. It was a nice change to be alone at work. We are never alone at work. I think he was really surprised. I couldn't keep the smile off my face yesterday.
We had our staff Christmas party last night. One of the local restaurants catered the event. We had prime rib, chicken cordon bleu, salad, biscuits, baked potatoes and all the fixins, christmas veggies, and cheesecake or pumpkin pie for dessert. Both meats were SO tender. Dave and I were amazed. We were going to split the chicken and beef because the pieces were so big but he ended up liking the chicken so much that I got a few bites at the end. He normally doesn't like chicken that way so it was nice to see him actually eat it!
We had a gift exchange that actually turned out fun. There was a lot of cooking stuff this year. Last year was Texas Hold Em sets. Our numbers were towards the beginning but it ended up being good because people stole from us. That always makes the game fun! I ended up with a Cooks blender kinda like the Magic Bullet. Dave ended up with a knock off brand of a Leatherman. What's really funny about the whole thing is that my sister brought both of the presents. She was actually going to give both of us those presents at Christmas. hehehe....now she will have to find something else to give us!!!!
I have the weirdest cold ever. I have a cough and am congested but I can still breathe through my nose. I can smell and everything. Last night my nose was running while I slept. Nothing like dried buggers in the morning!! HAHAHA!
Well, I am off to go wrap presents for my residents and for home......I only have 53 for them and who knows how many for me left to wrap!
