On Friday Rongitsch, Legris, and I went to Starbucks to celebrate the end of summer school. We discussed the wonders of fan fiction beneath the great shot peddling gnome. Good times… Anyway, Friday night I saw Raising Helen which was ok, I guess. I wasn’t expecting much so it’s not like I was disappointed. There is this Lutheran minister character and he’s really sweet and accepting other religions. Needless to say, the movie was not very realistic.
I took the SAT II Saturday morning. It was a bizarre experience because I took them at Marcos so there were a lot of kids there I went to middle school with. Some were very sweet and said “hi” even though I didn’t recognize them at first. Some weren’t so nice and either pretended not to recognize me or simply did not acknowledge my existence. They made me feel special. I’m very content with my decision not to continue my schooling with them… Anyway, Saturday I went to see Harry Potter. Yes, I saw Harry Potter. I was coerced. It was…okay I guess? The floating candles were cool. Daniel Radcliff is not a very good actor. We rented some movies to watch that night too but we all fell asleep while watching My Cousin Vinny. Oh yeah, and Elizabeth’s mom baked me a cake =).
Sunday morning I went shopping with my grandma, then went to the Diamondbacks game…They won for once! Yay! Then I went to dinner with Elizabeth, Nicole, Nicole, and Quinn and mini-golfing after. I was great seeing who sucked the most at hitting a little ball into a hole… It was great fun.
I can't believe Ronald Reagan is dead. Rongitsch and I always talked about it happening, but I never thought it actually would. He seemed like a nice fellow, it's a shame. I still stand firmly in my position that he didn't end the Cold War though. I also saw a report on 12 News today on how Reaganomics made Arizona what it is today. Right.
What kids really respond to for motivation…
LiLyBeTh716: someone with only a bit of high school makes about 21,400 a year, while someone with a masters makes roughly 55,300 a year
LiLyBeTh716: i think thats a major "stay in school" selling point
LiLyBeTh716: rather than all of that, "youll ruin your life" crap. we need the cold, monetary facts
