We are about to begin yet another productive week in summer school! I know you are all excited. I know I am. I just finished my research paper on Senator Evan Bayh (pronounced Bi.) I was deeply saddened to learn that he named his son Beau. Beau Bayh. I mean, how mean can you be? I guess it might have something to do with the fact that Senator Bayh’s given first name is Birch.
Anyway, I’ve started up seeing movies at my summer pace. In the last week I saw Shrek 2 twice, Goodbye Lenin, and The Day After Tomorrow. Shrek 2 was awesome; It was just as good as the first. Goodbye Lenin was a German movie in subtitles. I loved it, even if it dragged a little around the end. And finally, The Day After Tomorrow was (surprisingly) good. I mean, it’s not going to win any academy awards by any means, but the special effects were cool (sometimes a little cheesy) and I think the guy who played Sam was cute. I also bought A Mighty Wind this Saturday. It's hilarious. "Wha' happened??" If you haven't seen it, go rent it now. Anyone see any good movies lately that I should see this week?
