Well... to start off summer '05 with a bang, we decided to have an adventure... as cliche as it may be, please join me as...
^^The adventure beings. EB is driving. Look at her go.
^^ NS prepares for 'windows-down'... look at what a creepy picture of her this is.
^^ I know, I look so happy to be going on this adventure. Actually I'm just pissed cuz we haven't even left the driveway yet. :-)
^^ Finally, WE LEAVE!! And EB makes this lovely face for us.
^^ This is the car that cut us off. WHAT AN ASSHOLE.
^^ Suddenly, we notice that EB has NO GAS. (we also notice that this is the first time EVER that she's driving the speed limit).
^^ So to remedy this problem, we head to our neighborhood Gulf Station. Look how freakin expensive gas is. Damn.
^^ Nevertheless, EB still looks thrilled to be getting said gas.
^^ LOOK!!!! AIR IS FREE HERE!
^^ Our makeshift directions (and lem... mmmm). Take note of how EB spelled Tacony Palmyra Bridge. (Tokony Palmira... in case you can't tell).
In the next few shots, take note of how you ACTUALLY spell Tacony Palmyra.
^^ NS says: "YAAAY we found the bridge!!!" (we got a little lost before this.)
^^ We're entering the bridge! Woohoo!
^^ We're so close to White Castle I can taste it! (or so I thought...)
^^ "Wait a minute... this isn't White Castle!"
^^ Oh shit... this really isn't White Castle... Where the hell are we?
^^ EB is really sad cuz White Castle is missing...
...But wait! Maybe White Castle is over there!!...
^^ "But how do we get over there?" questions NS.
^^ "We could FLY!"
No Noelle. No we could not.
Now, by this point, we were quite lost and very hungry. We'd ended up back in Philly somehow and needed my brother to nagivate us through all these crazy back roads to get us back to the Tacony Palmyra Bridge. 12 minutes and 46 seconds later (thanks to his RIDICULOUS memory of Philly side-streets) we were back on the bridge. Thanks Shawn. You saved our asses :-D
However, once we get back to New Jersey, we still can't find White Castle. (It's starting to feel a little too much like the movie now... only without the weed).
^^ We decide to stop at this friendly looking Wawa to inquire about the location of White Castle.
^^ After much coaxing, NS and I finally convinced EB that these friendly-looking Wawa employees were actually friendly... so she got out to ask them where the hell White Castle is... because according to EB's dad's directions, it should be right here.
^^ We saw them laugh and go inside... EB comes back in the car, looking very sad.
We ask her what's wrong. She tell us:
^^ THIS
is White Castle. Wawa took it over last year.
Just like the freakin' movie... Now it's getting weird.
^^ NS asks, "What do we do now?"
^^ First we call EB's dad and yell at him for screwing up. :-)
^^ Then, we realize that we're still ok because we still have half of our Wawa Lemonade left
^^ "But we're still hungry and in New Jersey... what are we supposed to do now?"
^^ LET'S GO TO DON PABLOS!!!!!!
^^ Well, first let's get back to Pennsylvania... Here's another toll :-)
^^ We see D-Pabs in the distance, in all of its resplendent beauty (vocab word? yea I went there).
^^ Finally, we reach our oasis! It's not White Castle, but it sure is good.
^^ We get seated at OUR table (yes it's ours), laughed at how they thought we were 21, and looked at the menus (even though we already knew what we wanted... it's merely a technicality)
^^ EB partakes in the technicality as well.
^^ We get the complimentary chips... and dig in. With queso. MHMMM. DEEEE-lish.
^^ Then I went to the bathroom. NS clearly misses me.
^^ Ok fine, I was really there the whole time.
^^ Whatcha gonna do?
Ok, well at this point, the batteries in my camera died. I had brought extras, but they didn't work (that's what you get for buying them at the dollar store). So then our food came. I wanted to take pictures of it, but couldn't... so in summation of the rest of the night:
-NS and EB ate these weird rolled things that looked like blunts.
-I ate quesadillas. Mmmm quesadillas.
-NS and EB ate tacos that looked like this:
After getting our 'free sopa' by telling the waitress that it was my birthday, we went home.
We slept at EB's... with cat's that look like this:
(don't ask who that woman is. I got this picture in an email from my mom).
We woke up with mad allergies... then we ate breakfast (the left-overs from d-pabs) and went on our way...
However, all though it was an excellent adventure, we didn't achieve our goal. We'll get there eventually.
In that spirit, I declare this THE SUMMER OF WHITE CASTLE
