One year ago, my best friend, and non-Blood Brother Connor, today, would be celebrating his son's first birthday. However, life's not always that fair.
For one year ago today, the first sight Connor ever saw of his newborn child, was a dismembered pool of bloodied gore draining through a vacuum tube. A pain, and a regret, born out of death itself.

The joy of becoming a father is something few will truly experience, and as life will cause, those who truly desire this will oft never attain it. Instead, the blessing is given to those who have no love or care--the idiosyncracies of the Lord's Love will confound men for all eternity--while we pray to Him forever and ever, for all days, even as we bleed to death surrounded by our enemies.
Today has not been a day any have enjoyed. Our friend Brian lost his grandmother to her deathbed this day, soon followed by his other grandmother's hospitalization within the same hour, soon to be met on a bed of the same divine fate.
Today has made me think long and hard on the miracle that is birth, but also the divine mercy of I Am who brings our souls into His kingdom.
And so, any whom have love in their hearts, all I ask is you stop for just a short minute in your day, and give prayer to the nameless child my brothers and I will never know, who was never named--and whose only first sight in life was its own mother's hands taking its life from her own womb.
God have mercy on us all, for today, tomorrow, and for all the days we will sin before Your eye--and always be forgiven for even such atrocities.
Amen, my Lord and my God Almighty.
