What an INSANE day!
Let's see, i went to the Mall to check on the job shit, got turned down, yeah, and i did go up to BHS to pay a visit to my teachers... And then yeah, Jess picked me up w/ her boyfriend Corey and we went to her house, i met her parents and other relatives, and we went to Joe's Crab Shack in Robinson. The whole way it was "yellow on wheels", "Cadillac jack", and "crap slap"... Yeah, we beat the shit out of each other depending on the type of car we saw. LOL... Anyway, dinner was awesome, our waiter was this guy named James that, oddly enough, EVERYONE thought he's definately gay. ROTF... Jess's parents are hilarious, might i add, and her mother isn't someone to mess with when she's drunk. LOL... Anyway, yeah, we had a great dinner, telling jokes, humiliating Jess in front of all of Joe's, and then comin' back to hop in the car and go to Cedar's in downtown Youngstown. Little did i know what we were getting into...
Edwina, the girl that told Larry (my 1st boyfriend from 2 years ago, for those not informed) that there's a gay boy in Boardman, which was supposed to be Kory Trolio, but ended up Larry found me... Well, yeah, i ran into her tonight. I'd met her once before, but that was SOOOO long ago it seems. Anyway... yeah, she was there, along with this girl Amanda, who graduated in 2002 from BHS. Anyway, yeah, they had a friend there, and he's gay... LOL.... but really shy. Which that's cool...
Anyway, we were all chillin', girls all over me, me all over the girls... And then the "main act" came on... The band is "The Zou", they're from Youngstown, but live in Manhattan. Apparently tonight was the release of their debut album... Interestingly enough, it's not one of those burnt ones, it's a true CD... Damn...
But yeah, before i got the CD, we listened to them, and they KICKED ASS! No other band is like them, PERIOD! They're so cool, i seriously can't explain how much i loved their performance... And tonight was also their Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween night, so they had an intermission during which they all changed into outfits, and then proceeded to jump on stage and, well, sing some of the big songs from RHPS. I recorded clips of each song, and OMG, they're kickass. I seriously love this band...
Anyway, i bought the CD, cause i believe in supporting great music, especially great LOCAL music. Anyway, turns out Jess and Edwina are friends with the band, and, well, yeah, we were hanging out backstage. Hell, i looked in the CD sleeve, and both Jess and Edwina are mentioned in there. That's fuckin' kick ass! Anyway, after the show was over and the boys were cleaning up, me, Edwina and Amanda were talking about me going to the Mixx on Sunday night w/ Karen and Maribeth. Turns out, both Edwina and Amanda want to go, AND that boy they know wants to go too. Party at the Mixx with me... LOL... Then we went to Austintown Eat n' Shit and hogged the entire smoking section with a member of The Zou.
OH, and about the Mixx, well, news is out, a new gay bar opened HERE IN BOARDMAN! It's where the Bull and Bear Tavern used to be... IE: RIGHT NEXT TO STARBUCKS!!! Yep, that's right... same building, same entrance vestibule... That would explain the techno music me, Adam and Karen heard the night we went to Starbucks before me and Karen went to the Mixx and Adam returned home. But damn, that's awesome! I'm so excited.... Word also has it that the Mixx is going to turn into a strip joint, which would suck... But apparently the so dubbed "Mixx 2" is supposed to be pretty much just a dance club. Here in Boardman, next to the Poland Dunkin' Donuts. Fuckin' sweet...
Oh, did i forget to mention, my grandmother woke me up this morning to point out my new car out the front window? 2005 Cavalier LS, silver, sunroof, 9 miles on it. I already programmed my stations into the radio. Now, if i could just get everything else in my life straightened out, between liking MJ, not being able to let go of Adam (told him i wasn't going to, most likely i'm not... hello, he still has my dad's wedding band, i'm not letting that go... and plus, i want to be friends with him, he's just bein' all weird about everything... sheesh...), and plus i got a few jobs i have to worry about. Tomorrow i pick up my new Motorola V300. Yes, i sold out and got the camera phone cause i'm a lame-ass and couldn't wait any longer for the Nokia 6800... Granted, this is if i have the money for it... i might not, we'll have to see...
Anyway, i'm pooped, and just finished listening to The Zou CD... i'm tellin' ya, kiddies, this is *GOOD* music...
