You have the best handle on Steph characterisation I have EVER SEEN and this part made me ship Steph/Jason kinda too and Damian is the PERFECT little sociopath trying hard to be a person and and and - it's just amazing. Damian tries SO HARD. HE REALLY DOES. He just hasn't had a normal enough life to have a normal enough relationship. It's a good thing that Steph has him, because I can't imagine many people who could survive being in a long-term relationship with Damian.

I think you interpret Steph almost exactly the way I do. I keep getting excited about your fic and demanding everyone read it. "LOOK LOOK SHE GETS ON SO WELL WITH JASON IT'S EXACTLY WHAT SHE WOULD DO!" "LOOK LOOK SHE'S ONE OF THE NOT-GOOD-ENOUGH-ROBINS IT'S SO PERFECT OMG!" ... I ship Steph/Jason plenty. I remain disappointed they've never really met in canon because SO MUCH IN COMMON.
