This week has definitely been chugging along quickly. I'm thrilled but also aware that I am not ready for tomorrow's exam (so I am posting on the internet...).
I felt so good yesterday - I kept down some food and it is amazing how that changed my energy level! It was about 700 calories over the course of the day - that is about double what I kept down on previous days. For my procrastinating yesterday I cleaned most of my house - my bedroom and office look fabulous!
Today I have already had about that much - and I haven't done dinner! I managed to keep breakfast down and most of lunch. I plan to actually try dinner too - *fingers crossed*
I'm a bit concerned about Saturday. There is no food on the field that is in my diet plan. So I will simply take the Reglan and cross my fingers again. If I get sick- well I guess it is more when- I'll deal with it. I've gotten very good at dealing with the negative aspects. I realized yesterday how few of my classmates realize how sick I've been.
One classmate has kindly offered me some pants - so I might have a pair that fits for the weekend! Everything is hanging on my frame - I am down to an 8 and almost a 6 but the clothes I own are 10s. I don't want to buy clothes until the weight loss stabilizes but it may not be put off much longer.
I passed Monday's exam with an acceptable grade. Just need to repeat tomorrow. My goal is a 3.0 semester - that is lower than this summer(and spring for that matter) but I haven't got the energy to push too much harder. But I'm determined to pass and to not quit. Yes, one or two people have pointed out that I could withdraw - but I worked too hard to get in to repeat.
My test tomorrow is in Emergency Medicine- easily one of my favorite classes all year. It is cool to think in a few months I could be in an ER doing some of these thing!
I begin rotations on February 13th. I also found out I have the entire week after Loch Norman free (spring break!)- so that means there is a high chance I will be able to go to LNHG! Still not sure about GMHG or the other games. Those will depend on what rotation I'm in. It would be interesting to miss GMHG - I've only missed it four (or maybe three) in my entire life.
