I almost never post memes, but I love talking about writing and won't be doing much actual writing for the next couple of weeks, so if anyone wants to ask this'll keep my hand in, at least a little...

Speaking of which, are there certain types of stories that you would never write, or even never read? I think everyone has their own lines they won't cross. Though I've also found that some things I thought I'd never read, I've ended up finding exceptions to the rule. Has that been the case for you as well?

I try never to say never. I prefer not to read mpreg, fics with unhappy endings and/or death, baby!fic, and non-con, but when it's an author or reccer I trust I will often try fic types I wouldn't normally read and see what I think about them. I try to keep an open mind, and I'm always curious about why a trope that doesn't work for me works for someone else. So I like to check out what are likely good versions of the trope to try to understand. There are always exceptions to every rule for me. :)

I keep saying, now that I'm done with school, I'd like to get back to writing. This is a good reminder that I should stop saying that and instead start doing that.

Yes! Do it! Just sit down and do it. It doesn't have to be "good" or end up as anything, if those are pressures that are stopping you. Just write!
