Three things I am in love with today.
1. The tenth anniversary of Stargate: Atlantis, not because I'm happy it began so long ago and thus ended so long ago as well - oh, do I miss that show - but because suddenly new SGA fics are popping up from favorite, beloved authors this week. I'm so happy about getting to revisit these characters that I'm a little overwhelmed by it.
2. Skimmies. Where have these been all my life? They have a stupid name, but they are so, so much better than the much thicker bike-short-type-things or too-hot tights I used to wear under long skirts back when I was in college. (I love tights, but not in the summer.) Wow, comfy. No chafing, no flashing in a stiff breeze. It makes wearing skirts for long walks in the summer feasible again, hooray. (I am a delicate flower. I chafe easily.)
3. Ice! I'm just really enjoying my ubiquitous tumbler of ice water today. Here's a true story: mr. muse tries to tease me about my ice fixation by spending a good five minutes trying to cram as much ice as he can into my glass for me at dinner, doing everything in his silly engineer's head to fit it all in, and one night he presented me with a glass with twenty ice cubes with water, grinning to himself at how ridiculous it was... and it was just about right. There's no such thing as too much ice in my water. I don't crunch it; I just want my liquid water as cold as possible. :)
