Oh, dear lord...

The museling has chosen his Halloween costume this year (Darth Vader, which he knows from Star Wars Angry Birds, since he hasn't actually seen any of the movies yet), and he's decided that mr. muse and I should dress up as well. He selected mr. muse's costume (a king pig from Angry Birds - do we sense a theme?), and before I can be roped into ( Read more... )

Maybe they spank the piggies instead of obliterating them.

"Ooh, you're such a bad piggy." *poses, toys with a riding crop* "You're a naughty, naughty piggy who needs to be punished."

OH MY GOD. :D

This is why I went as a "sexy TV Dinner" a few years back. IT IS SO GROSS, THE SEXUALIZATION. Gah.

LOL at Sexy Angry Bird. I vote for Renaissance Warrior Princess!

I'VE BEEN THINKING OF YOU ALL MORNING AND THAT SEXY TV DINNER COSTUME. :D

We're not letting the museling have a light saber, so I can't take a sword with me, but I did see a "viking princess" costume that looked pretty bad ass, I must say.

Yeah, I don't know. I'd like to do something super creative, but I'm not sure I'll get there in time, and it hardly seems worth it with no party or anything!

You could be the Princess Leia angry bird!

My 6 year old made us a mug covered with drawings of angry birds. Awesome.

Aww! The museling is constantly drawing pictures of new levels of the game that he makes up in his head. And Bad Piggies levels. It's pretty cute.

I don't want to have to do my hair like Princess Leia; I don't think I've got enough bobby pins to hold my hair up like that! :D

I saw a sexy BARNEY the other day and nearly threw up.

I still want us to all go as The Incredibles. Because tell me Ellie isn't Jack-Jack. :-)

Barney Stinson is already sexy.

This was the goddamn purple dinosaur. For a woman. It was horrifying.

I've never, ever "celebrated" Halloween, but I love the creativity and the artistic expression that is on display. (don't even get me started on the sexy- everything for girls!).

When I think about Halloween costumes, I'm reminded of this Mike Myers interview with Ellen, where he talks about how his mum used to dress him up as "abstract concepts". Flippin' fabulous. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=wLm9MWd4l64#t=329 (from about min 5:33 on)

Let us know what you finally go as! And oooh the precious bean as Darth Vader (from Angry Birds? I know nothing about Angry Birds...so)

That's so cool! I'd love to do something super creative, but I don't think this is the year for it.

The museling LOVES the Angry Birds games on his iPad; he's always playing the game or drawing out new levels on paper and stuff. It's pretty cool. He's actually learned a lot of physics that way.
