What I did on my LA vacation.

So, stoney321 were in LA for a long weekend. We did many lovely things, including talking ourselves silly about writing and life. There was, um, some other stuff, too. Here are a few (big) pictures - with a location spoiler through Glee 4x02:

We had amazing meals; here is just a casual breakfast out by the pool cabanas, but I didn't take pictures of the fancier meals because I was too busy going into raptures over them. (Seriously, Michael Voltaggio's ink. restaurant was beyond incredible. The exceptional technique turned already good food into a whole other level of eating experience. I will dream of this meal.)

We stayed in lovely Santa Monica.

We went to the Young Storytellers Foundation Glee Biggest Show with bdbdb (after hanging out in Silver Lake with her all day, which was also super fun). I attended the event last year as well and enjoyed the performances just as much. This year, probably because Darren was there, was rather a madhouse compared to last year's very calm and casual after party where you could actually chat and chill with the cast instead of having to deal with fangirls and security. (It wasn't an improvement, though I'm sure it was for the YSF's income.) But I did have a nice, genuine talk with Dean Geyer, and Max Adler was just the sweetest person ever. And the plays themselves were wonderful as always; it's such an important charity.

And then there was also a visit here:

*coughs*

*toes the ground*

Oh, yes, and we got to watch Chris Colfer shooting a few close-ups of a scene with Kurt and Rachel in their apartment. Oh, and then we walked by him close enough that if he'd put out his feet he would have tripped us, but we only made eye contact and smiled and walked on, because we are grown-ups and he was busy working.

O.O

(Seriously, of all of the people and all of the kinds of scenes for us to see, Kurt and Rachel in their apartment?? We nearly died of joy, but we would have died calm and composed, damn it.)

And then I came home.
