Some Glee fic you may not have read.

I don't rec fics or authors as often as I should because I have serious issues around recs and leaving people out I figure most of you read more widely than I do. Still, sometimes I see fics or authors that I feel aren't getting the attention they deserve. This week, I have four:

"Sometimes I Take the Long Way Home" by likethdirection - Kurt, Finn, and Rory sweet friendship/brothers fic - PG - takes place during 3x06 - I don't know this author and only found the fic in robotsfighting's memories, but this Kurt makes me love him more than I already did, and that's quite an impressive thing.

wordplayitout has been writing a fic or ficlet each day in November, and they're fantastic. We've had Kurt in bubble baths, Burt becoming aware of the events in 3x05, Blaine being needy, and this amazing, amazing series of futurefics in which Kurt is a singer-songwriter whose career is growing and changing. (That last series has become one of my options to be future canon.) Dip in anywhere, but I've enjoyed them all.

idoltina has a great new fic in her Breakeven Verse, which starts with Kurt starting a PFLAG group at McKinley. "Look After You" centers around Karofsky in the future, but there are great Kurt, Blaine, Santana, and Brittany moments. Read the whole 'verse and wish it were ten times longer. :)

"And The Songbirds Keep Singing" by robotsfighting - a PG-13 Santana fic written in September that ties in beautifully with 3x06. I should have recced it when I first read it, because it's exceptional, but perhaps it was better to keep it until now.

So go read! And if you like what you're reading, as always, please leave a little note for the author. Even just "I liked it!" or "Great job!" can make an author's day and can encourage us to keep writing and/or sharing what we're writing. It can be hard to put ourselves out there, especially when it feels like nobody is interested. If you liked the fic, surely it's worth two or three words of your own to tell us? :)
