“Than the Sum of its Parts” was the first long fic I wrote in the Glee fandom, and somewhere in the middle of writing it I decided I also wanted to touch on Kurt’s perspective on the same era of their relationship, including some of the same moments I’d created that would feel pivotal to them both

I'm sure I've rambled on about how Sum of its Parts is one of my top 5 favourite K/B stories and I've been a part of Glee fandom pretty much since it began...
I feel spoiled by you <3
You're fabulous and wonderful. I'm off to read as I haven't even read a WORD yet ;)

You are one of my favorite writers in this fandom. This made me misty-eyed in so many places it's not funny. I love this.
I love how in the beginning of this, they are the same and not the same as before, how they are finding ways to hold hands and be in the same room (the Chopin scene reminded me of the lunchroom scene in Sum where Blaine is stalling). I love the "swiftly descending elevator" line, because it was so apt. I really, really love the scene where Blaine is arguing with Thad and David and holds out his hand for Kurt. I think what I love about it is Blaine's open affection, his unguardedness in how much he cares for Kurt and how that contrasts with Kurt's hesitancy and confusion. How Blaine finishes a bit of the conversation to care for his own needs yet cuts it short in respect for Kurt's.
It is completely and utterly bask- ( ... )

And you're one of my favorite writers, too. :)
Kurt is a little uncomfortably intense at times, which I love about him (because I don't have to deal with him except via fic). I dithered over the cuff links and decided that they were a step too far over the line of what's reasonable... and that if the whim took him he'd totally do it.
