Fic: Glee: The Other Half of the Equation (Kurt/Blaine, PG-13) 1/2

Oct 27, 2011 17:49

“Than the Sum of its Parts” was the first long fic I wrote in the Glee fandom, and somewhere in the middle of writing it I decided I also wanted to touch on Kurt’s perspective on the same era of their relationship, including some of the same moments I’d created that would feel pivotal to them both ( Read more... )

Blaine waiting long enough for the coffee to get cold is still so utterly charming I can't stand it.

Glimpse of collarbone. YES, IT WOULD BE GREAT FROM MY POV, TOO.

<3 <3 <3, and the addition of Tina and Mike is LOVELY here.

On to Pt 2 to find new gems!!

OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME.
I'm sure I've rambled on about how Sum of its Parts is one of my top 5 favourite K/B stories and I've been a part of Glee fandom pretty much since it began...

I feel spoiled by you <3
You're fabulous and wonderful. I'm off to read as I haven't even read a WORD yet ;)

oh oh oh!! flapping flailing arms as I absolutely adore The Sum of its Parts and so glad you're doing a mirror fic. There are soo many things I should be doing now but sinking joyously into part 2.
I do love them still at Dalton! ah, Kurt's difficult wardrobe dies a worthy death.

I hate WIPs and having to wait for the next part, but when things are posted all at once, it takes every bit of self-control to stop and comment on each part without eagerly launching into the next.

You are one of my favorite writers in this fandom. This made me misty-eyed in so many places it's not funny. I love this.

I love how in the beginning of this, they are the same and not the same as before, how they are finding ways to hold hands and be in the same room (the Chopin scene reminded me of the lunchroom scene in Sum where Blaine is stalling). I love the "swiftly descending elevator" line, because it was so apt. I really, really love the scene where Blaine is arguing with Thad and David and holds out his hand for Kurt. I think what I love about it is Blaine's open affection, his unguardedness in how much he cares for Kurt and how that contrasts with Kurt's hesitancy and confusion. How Blaine finishes a bit of the conversation to care for his own needs yet cuts it short in respect for Kurt's.

It is completely and utterly bask- ( ... )

Oh, thank you. Just... thank you. Really.

And you're one of my favorite writers, too. :)

Kurt is a little uncomfortably intense at times, which I love about him (because I don't have to deal with him except via fic). I dithered over the cuff links and decided that they were a step too far over the line of what's reasonable... and that if the whim took him he'd totally do it.
