So the museling loves munching on these little crunchy Earth's Best organic blueberry heart thingies, and the container happens to have a picture of Elmo on it. I have dubbed them Elmo Hearts for the sake of brevity when referring to them... and may possibly have been telling him that herds of wild elmos have been culled to harvest their hearts ( Read more... )

And then my dad the other day gave him one and said "thump thump, I think this one's still beating!" *facepalm* I no longer wonder where I get it.

ohh, how adorable!

I've been meaning to tell you how excited I am for you! Even if you're a cruel, cruel muse, encouraging your child to eat hearts!

LOL, wasn't the point of having a child to be cruel to him?

Hmm... maybe I should get some sort of red shag sweater for him and explain that it's important to use the whole elmo...

These are important lessons. A twisted sense of humor doesn't just come naturally; it has to be tortured encouraged. *nods sagely*

My niece loves Yo-GOs as well as the blueberry hearts...

It sounds like you're happy, even if too tired to actually smile. It's been a long time since mine were little, but I do remember that the sleeping thing improves by the time they're teenagers...then you can't get them OUT of bed!

I can't wait to see a picture of the little guy...he must be completely adorable!!

There are definitely moments of happiness, though we're still too new to the whole thing to feel like we're really living our life, yet. It kind of feels like someone else's.

I'll share a picture as soon as I'm allowed! Our agency has rules about these things, alas. He is, I can assure you, totally adorable. We took him to the grocery store today, and people in three checkout lines were simultaneously craning their heads and going "Awwww!" at him.

Ahahaha. I suspect this apple will not fall far from your tree. Ahahaha.

Glad the sleep situation is improving!

If he grows up to share our twisted sense of humor then I think I will count him as a successful person. ;) I do worry about giving him nightmares, though; I'll have to simmer down a bit as he learns English.

It's hard being independent introverts with a nine-month-old.

Ahahaha. Oh yeah. *relates so hard my teeth hurt*

It gets better. Especially when it turns out the kid is an independent introvert too. *G*

Gosh, we can only hope he's an independent introvert. We don't even have the hope of the influence of our gene pool! Whatever he is, though, I'm sure he'll be way more able to play independently in the future than he is now.

I hope.

Meep.
